Summary

The position, based in Brussels, will be responsible for trade marketing activities in support of the Japan markets. Under the Regional Marketing role, this position will (1) Ensure implementation of marketing activities within assigned region (2) Act as leverage point between Japan and Medical Brand/PPM (3) Localize appropriate Brand/PPM driven programs and initiatives into the Japan markets (4) Ensure Japan businesses are provided with required day to day marketing support services for Medical oriented activities and (5) work closely with distributors to service customer needs with new technology offerings and cost competitive, refreshed product portfolio while constantly demonstrating Ansell's value in the supply chain.

Responsibilities 

  • Act as leverage/bridge point between Japan markets and Brand/PPM, taking Brand/PPM driven programs/activities and ensuring implementation. As important, act as Japan markets voice back into the Brand/PPM to ensure Japan needs are met within Brand/PPM strategies and programs.
  • Manage all distribution channels to grow the Medical business in Japan
  • In conjunction with Regional Marketing Director Asia Pacific Medical develop and ensure implementation of Japan trade marketing plans in support of sales targets within the Medical category
  • Contribute to the development of overall Regional trade marketing plans with focus on those related specifically to Japan markets
  • In conjunction with Regional Marketing Director APAC and Japan Sales Directors, actively engage in the development of Regional strategic planning
  • Decisions maker on route to market in Japan in conjunction with Regional Marketing Director APAC 
  • Provide Brand/PPM with marketing program VOC and key learnings based on market activities 
  • Provide Japan area input into Brand/PPM and new product development activities including customer needs and local market considerations
  • Coordinate Japan market sizing and analysis process based on Brand/PPM and Business Service Group input. In conjunction with Regional Marketing Director APAC, ensure that priority focus growth plans are in alignment with analysis. Confirm that appropriate processes are in place to monitor market, allowing for adaptive planning should situations warrant
  • Maintains contact with key staff of assigned distributors in territories, arranges and co-ordinates both training for representatives and promotional activities in conjunction with Sales & Business Development Manager.
  • Develop the Japan Regional marketing budget that reflects company goals
  • Identify and research potential business opportunities, working closely with local sales groups and communicate findings appropriately
  • Facilitate deployment of Brand/PPM provided material (promotionals, programs, etc.) following any required localization activities. Implement branding and positioning programs at country level as per agreed Medical GBU strategies
  • Facilitate Japan based Medical marketing automation and CRM programs in conjunction with Regional Marketing Director APAC and Business support Group
  • Support implementation of Brand/PPM programs such as range rationalization, product consolidation, etc.
Japanese native is an absolute must for this role!
