Linux System & Network Administrator

Client :

My client is a startup with solid financial backing. They invented an innovative network technology. As the first customers are rolling in they are focusing on setting up the operations and maintenance team. For this they need an engineer with experience and a broad knowledge and interest.

The Network Solution is built on Debian OS, building automated VPN tunnels using OpenVPN, over multiple paths using MPTCP and OpenSocks proxy, while the customer portal and GUI are written using AngularJS and NodeJS.

Description :

Your tasks:

* Setup, configuration and testing of the company systems for various operational needs
* Installation and upgrades of the company system components
* Develop and maintain system installation and configuration procedures
* System monitoring
* Support and troubleshoot
* Bug fixing in close cooperation with the development team
* Research and recommend innovations with regards to the company system setups

Your profile:

* Degree in Computer Science, similar education, or proficient experience
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar job
* Profound IT knowledge, experience and know-how especially in Linux and OpenVPN
* Experience in the setup and configuration of IT systems and IP networks
* Well structured, efficient and independent working approach
* Strong team spirit with a self-confident appearance
* Good knowledge English (spoken and written)
* Class B driver's license
* Knowledge which brings an advantage to the job

MPTCP

Experience in shell scripting (Bash, Perl) or other programming languages

Virtualisation (Xen)

Deployment tools like Ansible

mobile communications technology

Good communicator
