GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
  • The Associate Director Trade Marketing will be responsible for leading the execution and evolution of the CMP Modular Marketing Concept within the mature markets region of EMEA.
  • Leading the channel marketing team in order to drive local execution with CMP partners.
  • The incumbent will lead execution and measurement of prioritized campaigns, events, new product introductions, and portfolio growth through the modular marketing concept.
  • Within this role, the incumbent and supporting team will have the responsibility, leveraging market knowledge and sales team intimacy, of identifying & recommending the optimal channel marketing strategies to be utilized to launch the agreed upon GBU marketing plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads the EMEA Trade Marketing Team to support the diverse & specific needs of the local customer base.
  • Responsible for the regional market knowledge / expertise to support the development of local channel marketing tactics & tools to deploy the global strategy in a manner that accurately reflects the regional customer base.
  • Owns the evolution and deployment of the CMP modular marketing concept.
  • Delivers trade communication (traditional and non-traditional) programs to support channel business strategies including thought leadership, digital and social media platforms.
  • Develops and supports the channel marketing needs for agreed upon prioritized retail / industrial sales distribution partners in line with Channel Management and International Channel Management Program (CMP and ICMP) Collaborates with global marketing organization in order to ensure a unified and aligned marketing approach with the voice of the region captured.
  • Working with the SBU teams to manage new product development launches and supporting marketing tool kits to the channel.
  • This includes support for product marketing set up with prioritized distribution.
  • Activates all strategic trade marketing campaigns (media planning, lead generation marketing tools, sampling, web based media, PR) through the channel as appropriate. Manages local market translation activities / needs in line with agreed strategy.
  • Ownership & management of the channel GBU marketing calendar within the region.
  • Supports the development of the annual budget process, by providing regional recommendations on projects, including recommended priorities and A&P needs for the channel. 

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
  • MBA

Job Experience

  • 7-10 years of Marketing or Customer/Trade/Channel Marketing experience
  • FMCG experience as well as B2B experience within distribution management and trade marketing
  • Sales experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Facilitation, internal consulting, project management, and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and manage through complexity, setting priorities and often leading members of a project team toward a common goal.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Experience with global structures and operating in a matrix environment.
