Our client is an international non-profit association based in Brussels with 36 European Member Countries. They work for Research and Innovation. In order to develop the solutions and new projects at their client, they are looking for a Senior PHP developer (LAMP Environment).

Description :

Your responsibilities:
The Senior PHP Developer primary responsibility is to provide development services across a range of business system solutions and technologies.
The Senior PHP Developer reports directly to the Head of Information Systems.
This position will involve:
* Processing solution specifications and designing of new application modules
* Cooperating with the Business Analyst and contributing in the analysis of business side requirements
* Developing and maintaining applications and reporting systems/solutions, core database structures and technologies
* Undertaking testing of system components, completing bug fixes and development enhancements
* Providing development support for application systems and solutions ensuring that incidents are dealt with in an accurate and timely fashion
* Complying with and adhering to the documented quality standards and methods for development
* Maintaining, improving and integrating in-house built software
* Providing second and third level support to the COST Association IT Helpdesk
* Contributing to the training of end users
* Coordinating the work of other IT Developers

Your profile:
* You have a university degree in computer science or equivalent by at least 5 years of experience in PHP development
* You have a strong experience in PHP, Apache, HTML, Javascript, XML
* You have a proven professional experience in implementing database solutions with MySQL and MS SQL server
* You have a proven experience in OO programming and Web Services (SOAP/REStful)
* You have an experience in coordinating the work of a team of It Developers
* You have experience in Agile methodologies
* You are a team-worker but able to work independently
* You speak fluent English (spoken and written) - other European language is appreciated
* Experience in academic or not-for-profit environment is a plus
* You have good presentation and communication skills
