Preliminary Descriptions

The Advanced Analytics Business Unit (BU) was created to embody and support the strategic move of our client to enrich the groups hardware catalog with software offers. Acting as a startup in the organization, the BU is responsible of:

  • developing innovative analytics solutions to provide airports with the first complete suite of "Smart Management" software, from aircraft approach to departure
  • coordinating all data-related initiatives at group level and ensuring overall coherence with long-term company vision
  • building an ecosystem and partnerships with forward-looking data and digital companies, startups and organizations

The Ground Time Optimization (GTO) - the pilot solution - will combine our client existing products and unexplored data with Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and other cutting-edge technologies. Its core objective is to optimize airport operations, a complex and evolving environment involving numerous stakeholders.

Essential Functions

The Product Owner's (PO) role is to be the guardian of the company's solution and to continually push it towards further improvements. The PO role evolves with the product lifecycle stages:

  • During the solution definition phase, the PO is in constant relationship with the management, the business team and the potential users to ensure that the solution and its features stick with the company vision and strategy
  • During the POC (Proof of Concept), the PO interacts mostly with the developer, technical and designers' teams to coordinate the solution delivery
  • During the run phase, the PO interacts with the customer service, the data analysts and the data development team to get feedback from users and improve the product over time
Responsibilities

Strategy and business development
  • Define the solution vision, the strategic roadmap and lead the POC definition 
  • Shape the solution business drivers and refine them over time
  • Interact continuously with clients to assess needs, gather feedbacks and push POCs
  • Coordinate with the Business Development and Marketing teams to identify new needs, inspire the future roadmap and define uses cases 
Solution development coordination
  • Identify, synthetize and translate client needs and pain points in the features specifications
  • Orchestrate the solution development while ensuring the respect of the deadlines 
  • Manage a technical team (including developers, data scientists and designers) on the core development and the design and deployment of new features
  • Leverage the SCRUM methodology to ensure product delivery with POC, sprints, etc.
  • Lead the selection of the development approach and, if needed, the service provider
Experience and background 
  • Experience leading projects in an international, multicultural and entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience writing product requirements documents, user stories and using project management systems (JIRA, Asana, Trello)
  • Strong commercial experience with the focus on finding solutions to underlying customer pain points in a cost efficient and scalable way 
  • Software management experience - Agile software development processes, bug tracking and resource management 
  • Deep understanding of technical topics (APIS, AWS/GCS, Authentication) and knowledge of AGL, DGS and AT solutions
  • Knowledge of AGL, DGS & ATC solutions, turnaround management and A-CDM
